For most young people, getting the basics in life is a given. For others, it's the luck of the draw. According to NSPCC data over 50% of young people in England have grown up experiencing abuse and serious malnutrition. What's more, one in twenty between the ages of 16-24 will experience homelessness. That's hundreds and thousands of young people facing serious neglect, abuse, poverty, violence and social exclusion on a daily basis.
Virgin Mobile, together with Virgin's charitable arm: Virgin Unite, wants to redress the balance. That's what the Virgin Unite RE*Generation campaign is all about. We're working hand in hand with organisations like Foyer and Kids Company who care about young people and have the vision to help kickstart their future.
You can help
Use Virgin Mobile's new Directory Enquiries service and every time you look for a phone number, you're also helping to raise money for the youth charities we support.
20p from every call goes to Foyer and Kids Company. Calling 118 918 costs 75p/minute from a Virgin Mobile phone, which is no more than what it would cost to call other leading directory enquiries services from your mobile.
Although 118 918 is a Virgin Mobile led service it can be called from any UK mobile or landline, and 20p will still be donated for every call made.
The donations happen automatically, so you don't need to do a thing. Just use your phone as normal and know that you're making a difference.

You can. By texting 'Donate' to 84744 you can donate £1 to the youth charities, Foyer and Kids Company, who we're supporting and Virgin Mobile will match your donation, pound for pound. Texts are absolutely free to send.
Trade In your old handset and donate up to £100 to charity
We all have an old mobile somewhere, sitting there just gathering dust and taking up valuable drawer space. So why not do something good with your old phone, and give something back to young people?
With Virgin Mobile, you can give some or all of the value to charity – and we’ll double it.. Or, if you choose, you can get up to £100 in free airtime or money off your bill (if you Pay Monthly) just for trading in your old phone.
How much you get depends on the make, model and condition of your phone and even if it isn’t working anymore, you can still recycle it and we’ll donate £5 to charity on your behalf (we’re giving up to £100,000 in donations).
The money raised through this activity will go to benefit the Re*Generation program to make a big positive impact to young people’s lives.
You can choose to donate 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% of your phone’s value to charity – or you can just keep the whole lot as airtime, which we’ll automatically load onto your Virgin Mobile SIM card.
