Virgin Mobile first to introduce great value Nokia 3410 on pre-pay at only £119.99

Virgin Mobile, the UK’s fifth network, today announced it is the first operator to introduce on pre-pay the latest phone from Nokia, the sleek 3410 with a great value price of £119.99. The neat phone is tipped to be a best seller, and as an upgrade model for the extremely popular Nokia 3310 or 3330.
Slimmer and lighter than its older siblings at 114g, the Nokia 3410 is built to entertain. Customers can easily customise their phone by choosing any one of the 35 pre-loaded ringtones, or create seven by themselves or download from the hundreds of tunes available on www.virgin.com/mobile. The phone comes with five riveting games and more games can be downloaded. As with other Nokias, front and back covers can be changed to suit the mood or tastes of the customer.
Text addicts can make use of the predictive text function, as well as send and receive picture messages. The phone also comes equipped with WAP and silent vibrate. Other functions include a clock/alarm, calendar, calculator and the phone is dual band.
Popular customers have plenty of room for all their mates in the phone book, with 200 numbers able to be stored on the phone, and a further 200 slots on the Virgin Mobile SIM.
Virgin Mobile’s Head of Product Marketing Andy Mallinson said: “We delighted to be the first network in the UK to offer what is sure to be the next hot Nokia must-have phone. We are confident our pricing is extremely competitive, and consumers will admire the combination of fashion and functionality this latest Nokia offers.”
Virgin Mobile has no contract, and lets customers ‘pay any way they want’ – by topping up with credit or debit card, with top-up vouchers, or paying monthly with direct debit. There’s no line rental, and one simple tariff applies, with standard calls charged at 15p/min for the first 5 minutes of use each day, then 5p/min after that. Virgin Mobile also offers a ‘Big Bonus’ to any registered customer spending £30 or more on calls in a month – they get 10% of their monthly spend as an airtime credit the following month.
Customers who buy a Virgin Mobile Nokia 3410 and SIM in June (or any other model priced at £99 or over), will receive £20 worth of free airtime, plus of course the £5 that is already provided with every new connection. There is also a chance to win tickets to the music festival of the year, V2002!
