Hama has tailored a new “fresh” range of both original and third party accessories, including covers, cases and chargers in line with Virgin Mobile’s customer base. They will be available from early-November exclusively from Virgin retail outlets, direct from Virgin Mobile and at www.virgin.com/mobile.

Andy Mallinson, Head of Product Marketing at Virgin Mobile, said: “Hama has an excellent reputation in the mobile business spanning 41 countries throughout the world. As well as their experience, we were impressed by their ability to manage all stages of the supply process including sourcing, logistics, training and instore merchandising. We are extremely pleased to welcome them on board.”

Established in Germany, Hama already supplies a wide variety of other product accessories to the UK, including audio visual, photographic and computer products. However they enter the UK mobile market for the first time to supply accessories to Virgin Mobile. The company will also design and implement training programmes for Virgin Mobile staff and provide a complete fulfilment programme including account management, stock management and marketing.

Nick Grey, UK Managing Director at Hama, said: “Virgin Mobile is a strong UK brand with an impressive track record so we are very confident about the future of our partnership. By encapsulating training programmes for staff, managing the supply and sell of stock, account management and marketing, our service will ensure the latest and best range of mobile phone accessories reaches Virgin Mobile’s customers.”
