Virgin Mobile selects Conduit Directory Services as its preferred directory enquiries supplier

Virgin Mobile, the fastest-growing mobile network, has selected Conduit Directory Services Ltd as its preferred supplier of directory enquiry services to its customers. Conduit, the operator of the half-price directory enquiries service 11-88-88 (double ONE, double EIGHT, double EIGHT) and Virgin Mobile, are pleased to announce a strategic partnership to jointly promote 11-88-88 to Virgin Mobile’s customers base.

Conduit’s 11-88-88 service was chosen by Virgin Mobile from many potential companies as the preferred directory enquiry supplier because of its high quality service. The agreement is great news for Virgin Mobile customers who will not only benefit from one of the cheapest directory enquiry service available, but will also be able to take advantage of 11-88-88’s extra features. These features include having requested numbers delivered by SMS, allowing them to be saved into their phone book for future use, as well as call connection, multiple number searches and business classified searches. Calls to 11-88-88 will only cost Virgin Mobile callers 40 pence for the first minute and 20 pence thereafter.

Conduit’s international directory enquiry service, 11-88-99 (double ONE, double EIGHT, double NINE), will be Virgin Mobile’s preferred international service.

Call charges are as follows:
11-88-88 (National directory enquiries) 40p for the first minute20p per subsequent minute
11-88-99 (International directory enquiries) 80p per minute

Virgin Mobile and Conduit began a range of marketing initiatives to promote 11-88-88 and 11-88-99 to Virgin Mobile’s near three million customers from August 1st.
