Virgin Mobile, headline sponsor of the V Festival, today announced that The Doves will be playing a rare and exclusive DJ set in the Virgin Mobile Red Light Club. Ex-Prodigy member Leeroy Thornhill, and Pulp’s Steve Mackey will also be playing exclusive DJ sets at its Virgin Mobile Red Light Club, adding more star power to the already-stellar DJ line up this year.
Hosted by Nuphonic Productions, the Virgin Mobile Red Light Club already boasts a line up that covers off all styles of dance music, from hip-hop and breaks to pure house, and includes established artists such as David Holmes, Adam Freeland, Ross Allen and X-Press 2’s Ashley Beedle.
James Kydd, brand director at Virgin Mobile, said: “We are delighted to have these latest superstar additions on board the Virgin Mobile Red Light Club DJ line up. At Virgin Mobile we want to make the festival experience the best possible, offering festival-goers a totally new experience, with each DJ adding to the diversity of the event. This year we are hosting the best line up of dance music ever seen at the V Festival - it’s the only place to be on site!”
Now in its eighth year, the V Festival takes place on August 16th and 17th at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, and Weston Park, Staffordshire. This is the fourth year that Virgin Mobile has been headline sponsor of the event. Headline acts performing include Coldplay, The Foo Fighters, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and David Gray.
Virgin Mobile’s music sponsorships has been brought together under one electronic ‘roof’ at its new website, www.virginmobilelouder.com, which aims to unite communities of music lovers and critics, providing the latest music news, gig guides, listings information and the facility to buy tickets, invite friends and plan your night out.
