28/04/2004

Virgin Mobile, the fastest growing network in the UK, has once again been honoured in the annual `Best 50 Workplaces in the UK’ survey, and has been voted the 22nd best place to work in Britain for the second year running.

Virgin Mobile is the only mobile phone company to make it into the top 50 workplaces.

Tom Alexander, CEO of Virgin Mobile, said: “This is an outstanding achievement and I am delighted that Virgin Mobile has been ranked in such a prestigious list for two years running. Virgin Mobile is an exceptional company, which just keeps going from strength to strength, thanks to our great team. Our people, based in Trowbridge, London, Middlesbrough and Daventry, are thrilled at being recognised for creating one of the best workplaces in Britain. I’d like to thank them for all their dedication in making Virgin Mobile so successful, and the public for their ever-increasing support.”

AccountAbility, the professional institute that has provided assurance for the Business in the Community Awards, was chosen to conduct the 2004 survey in the UK, which is published in the Financial Times today. Any organisation with 50 employees or more is eligible to enter.
