Inclusion in FTSE 250 Index

Virgin Mobile Holdings (UK) plc (Virgin Mobile) announces that following the FTSE index review of 8 September; it has been included in the UK FTSE 250 index. In the review it was ranked overall as number 250 among all FTSE UK index constituents. This position was calculated according to the FTSE ground rules, which give a 30% weighting to the Company's total market capitalisation of 494m, based on its freefloat of 25.4%.

Tom Alexander, Chief Executive of Virgin Mobile said: "I am delighted that Virgin Mobile has now been included in the FTSE indices following our IPO in July. We aim to consolidate this position as the Company continues to deliver on its business objectives."

The FTSE 100 index comprises the UKs 100 largest eligible companies as ranked by freefloat weighted market capitalisation according to the FTSE ground rules. The FTSE 250 index comprises those companies ranked 101 to 350.
