Virgin Mobile launches the UK’s longest-lasting Bundles

20/10/2004

- Unique ‘carry over’ feature, no daily limits -

  • New airtime minutes, text message and picture message packages

  • Virgin Mobile offers longer-lasting bundles than any other network

  • Off net calls from as little as 12p anytime, texts to any network from 3p

20.10.04: Virgin Mobile today launches a revolutionary new proposition, Virgin Mobile Bundles, a range of products offering a selection of voice minutes, text messages and picture messages at great value, with unique features. Virgin Mobile Bundles are set to shake up the mobile market, as the minutes and messages last twice as long as any other network’s bundles packages when the bundle is renewed. This ‘carry over’ is something that no other mobile network offers in a prepay package, so UK mobile customers who currently lose their unused minutes or messages, either every day or every month, should now consider switching to Virgin Mobile to save money.

Virgin Mobile Bundles, which are available to all Virgin Mobile customers, however they choose to pay, can be used to call, text message or picture message any UK network at any time. Using a Bundle a Virgin Mobile customer can be charged from as little as just 12p per minute, no matter which UK network they are calling, and can send a text to any UK network from a minimum of 3p. Standard UK calls are also included. Virgin Mobile Bundles are totally flexible, allowing customers to chop and change both their bundle size and bundle combination each month.

Virgin Mobile Bundles are:

  • Easy to set up - can be bought by phone, text or online

  • Fully flexible - can be changed, from month to month depending on a customer’s usage

  • Ideal for people calling any fixed or UK mobile network anytime

Virgin Mobile Bundles provide:

  • SMS reminders when bundles are due for renewal

  • Convenient automatic monthly renewal which can be cancelled or changed each month

  • Customer support via text message

  • Free voicemail retrieval

Virgin Mobile Bundles have:

  • No restrictions on when you can make your calls

  • No daily limits – so you don’t have a certain amount to use up every day

  • No long-term lock-ins – you can change or cancel the bundle each month

Tom Alexander, CEO of Virgin Mobile, said: “The launch of Virgin Mobile Bundles not only offers our customers greater flexibility for their mobile phone, we also reward customers with longer-lasting value by allowing them to carry over any unused minutes or messages for another month when they renew a bundle.

“Virgin Mobile now not only offers the cheapest on-net standard pre-pay text tariff of 3p, it also makes it easier for people who call and text other networks to do so by buying one of our tailored bundles, we have four different sizes and four different types to choose from.”
