Virgin Mobile is five years old today.
Launched in the UK on 11 November 1999, the company has grown rapidly to become the UK’s largest mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), with more than 4.2m customers served by over 1,400 staff. The company has been one of the most successful start-ups in recent British economic history, culminating in its recent listing on the London Stock Exchange earlier this year.
