Virgin Mobile wins Best Customer Service Award for 5th consecutive year at consumer awards

30/09/2005

Virgin Mobile last night was crowned the king of customer service, winning the prestigious award for Best Customer Service at the Mobile Choice Consumer Awards 2005. This year marks the fifth consecutive year of victory for Virgin Mobile, which prides itself on its excellent customer service.

The customer service award, which was voted for by the public, was won on account of the fact that Virgin Mobile’s customer service ‘stood out above the rest’. In the Mobile Choice survey more than half of its customers were ‘very satisfied’, and in total 90% of Virgin Mobile’s customers were ‘very satisfied’ or ‘fairly satisfied’.

Mobile Choice Magazine commented: ‘It’s also to Virgin Mobile’s immense credit that it had easily the lowest percentage of customers complaining of poor customer service, just 4.2%’.

Tom Alexander, chief executive of Virgin Mobile, said: “Virgin Mobile takes great pride in offering excellent customer service, and this award is recognition that for five years in a row we have put our customers first, and we’re getting it right!

“I’d like to thank all of the staff at Virgin Mobile for endless hard work in making Virgin Mobile justly famous for its excellent customer service, and the readers of Mobile Choice Magazine for their support.”
