09.12.05: Virgin Mobile is today delighted to announce that the commercial to launch Virgin Mobile’s new Pay Monthly Contract will star the world-famous supermodel Kate Moss. Kate will be the star of an ad to be premiered in the UK on Christmas Eve, and aired on television over the festive season.

The ad will employ Virgin Mobile’s famous style of wit and humour in advertising, and will see Kate enjoying a rare speaking role. Virgin Mobile is famous for using world-famous celebrities in its ads, and this ad promises to be the best yet. In keeping with Virgin Mobile’s award-winning advertising style, Kate will join the ranks of celebrities poking fun at their own public image.

The ad will first be seen online from December 20th, with a television campaign airing from Christmas Eve.

James Kydd, brand director of Virgin Mobile, said: “Kate Moss is an icon. We are thrilled that she has agreed to appear in our latest commercial. In return, the least we can do is make it really funny. There is little doubt this will be the most appealing ad for mobile phone contracts ever made, which is entirely appropriate as Virgin Mobile contracts are the most appealing in the marketplace.”

The ad will also mark the television premiere of the Motorola RAZR V3i phone, which will be available from Virgin Mobile in late December.
