30.11.06: Virgin Mobile was honoured last night at Management Today’s Most Admired Companies Awards 2006, being voted the best company for the Ability to Attract, Develop and Retain Top Talent beating the likes of Cadbury Schweppes, Johnson Matthey, Tesco, Unilever and Vodafone, who was in 7th place.
Overall, Virgin Mobile made a huge rise this year from 157 to 37 in Britain’s Most Admired Company award.
Virgin Mobile also takes 4th place for Quality of Marketing, a rise of 26 places from last year. It is the only telecoms firm to enter the top ten in this category.

Britain’s Most Admired Companies is the UK’s longest running and most respected business award scheme. They are considered the Oscars of the business world, and have become a benchmark for excellence. It is organised in association with Mercer Human Resource Consulting.
Virgin Mobile was also voted 22nd in the Best Workplaces in the UK Financial Times survey for 2006, and it has achieved 22nd place for three times in four years.
