Virgin Mobile retains ‘Best Customer Service’ award for the 8th consecutive year

Virgin Mobile has scooped two prestigious Mobile Choice awards at the magazine's annual ceremony, held on October 2, 2008 in London.

The network once again had its reputation for industry beating customer service reinforced by winning the 'Best Customer Service' award for the 8th year running. Mobile Choice praised Virgin Mobile for the "…quality of its customer service centres," whilst adding that the network "…has maintained its success with ongoing investment and improvement."

Commenting on the award for 'Best Customer Service', Graeme Oxby, MD of Virgin Mobile at Virgin Mobile commented "Virgin Mobile's main focus is, and always has been, looking after our customers, old and new. We're thrilled to have had our reputation as the best providers of customer service in the industry reinforced by this award, our eighth in as many years."

Online retail leaders
With judging based on website design and functionality, customer experience and satisfaction, www.virginmobile.co.uk saw off the competition to claim the 'Best Online Retailer' gong due to its clutter and stress-free approach to online retail in what can be a baffling experience for consumers. An astounding 97% of readers having visited the Virgin Mobile website rated their experience as 'good' or 'very good'.

Commenting on the award for 'Best Customer Service', Oxby continued "2008 has seen a great deal of work go into our online retail operation, part of our continued push towards becoming a multi-channel operator. We're proud that our website stands out for its clarity and service amongst what can be a confusing market."

Both awards were voted for solely by consumers and readers of Mobile Choice magazine, a leading and respected publication covering all aspects of the mobile industry.
