This week, Virgin Mobile, make it even easier for their customers to stay in the loop whilst on the go as they announce the launch of Windows Live Messenger service for their new and existing customers on selected handsets.
Virgin Mobile will provide the service, pre-loaded or downloadable, onto a customer's mobile, which allows them to interact with all their friends. And it's free for six months.
Customers can currently interact with different instant messaging websites by downloading software from the web, but they then pay standard data rates to access them over the web on their phones. This new Instant Messenger service is free for six months for participating Virgin Mobile customers.
Monday 8 December sees the launch of Virgin Mobile's Instant Messenger product on four handsets; the Samsung U600, the Samsung G600, the Nokia 6300 and also the Sony Ericsson w910i. The Sony Ericsson is currently the only model which contains the service pre-loaded but it is easily downloaded onto the Samsung and Nokia handsets and Virgin Mobile plan to announce further compatible handsets in the New Year.
Graeme Oxby, managing director of Virgin Mobile commented: "Being part of a bigger company that are experts in internet services, we are delighted to be bringing the most popular chat service to our customers."
